PUMPKIN OBSESSION

I don't know what happened, but suddenly I am obsessed with Pumpkin. Pumpkin Waffles, Pumpkin Trifles, Pumpkin, Pumpkin, Pumpkin!!! I hatched a plan this morning. I want MORE pumpkin recipes, but the thing is, I only want the BEST! So, I gathered a partner in crime. I don't have time to make every pumpkin recipe that comes along, but I still long to look at them, and ooh and ahh over them, and I would like to make WAY more of them than I can do by myself,

So, I am having a PUMPKIN OFF.

GIVEAWAY! But first, a story.

It has been a long time since I have done a Giveaway, huh? Well, I am doing one, RIGHT NOW. But first, a story:



Tonight I had to take some Pampered Chef boxes to a client, and pick up some swimming gear for Abby and then take her to swimming. This was all supposed to be happening during the "dinner prep" hour. Where I think about what I am going to make, check to make sure I had all the ingredients, and commence with dinner.




Instead, I was in the car.



I decided on Chicken Curry. But wasn't sure I had the toppings, and there is nothing I hate more than a 5:00 p.m. grocery store run. Because the store is ALWAYS packed. ALWAYS. And I ALWAYS just need one thing, and it drives me bonkers to drag 4 kids into the store, fight the crowds, and get back to have to cook dinner after it all. Going to the store is quite enough. No?




I avoided the store, and hoped for the best.




When I got home I discovered there was no Cashews, and no shredded coconut. Curry wasn't happening.


This is where my life has been transformed. Truly, truly transformed.


I have a Pampered Chef Grill Pan.

If you have been to a show in the last 5 or 6 months, you have probably seen it in action. It is amazing. And up until about a week ago, I had the Grill Pan, and used it religiously. To be fair, it has ALMOST been as amazing as the Deep Covered Baker. But, I was missing something. It's companion piece the GRILL PRESS. I finally got it, and my life has changed. Forever.

I store them sitting inside one another in my cupboard. When I got home, I turned on my stove, and put the pan with the grill press inside it on my stove top. I had a conversation with Jaxon's respite worker, and got out all the ingredients to my dinner. . . . and THEN, I got out three FROZEN chicken breasts out of the freezer, and when my pan and grill press had been on for about 6 minutes (I really wasn't counting) I threw the frozen chicken in there, put the press on top and walked away. I prepped my veggies, I boiled water, I got out a bottle of Thai Peanut Curry Sauce. Within 11 minutes, my frozen chicken was completely done. And looking beautiful, like I had just pulled them off the grill.

And you might say, why didn't you just use the grill? And to that I would say, who wants to walk in and out a bunch of times, have live fire with a toddler around and have to clean the grill? NOT ME.

I am loving. . .

I love love week. I love that everyone is posting all about the things they LOVE. Committing myself to writing about things I love everyday is just too hard, because, I just know there is going to be a day in there that I DON'T love. So. . . why set myself up?



So, instead, I will just tell you what I am LOVING lately. PS*I WAS SO NOT PAID FOR THIS POST! THESE ARE ALL JUST SERIOUSLY THINGS I AM LOVING LATELY.

I LOVE GIRLS WHO WANT TO DATE MY BACHELOR! Seriously. There have only been a few who sent info [WHAT?] But I truly respect those who did, because they have some serious kahones, and sometimes, you just gotta step out of the box. Great job girls. May cupid be with you!

Blue Diamond Bold Almonds in WASABI and SOY SAUCE FLAVOR! Oh my... we all know about my obsession with sushi, right? Well, let me tell you. . .these are difficult for me to put down. VERY difficult. So. Yum. But it is a big kick, and if you don't like Wasabi... turn the other way. I had a few coupons for them so I thought I would try them out. SOOOOOOOOOO glad I did. Love.

Have you heard of Bare Escentuals? Well, I am a new-comer, but let me tell you, I AM SOLD! I LOVE their line mainly because it is all natural and really, I can't even go into it right now but there are soooooooooooooooooooo many bad chemicals in your make up... and it sits on your skin all day long... and your skin is your biggest organ of your body . . . and. . . oh never mind, I told you it is involved. LG EnV Touch. Okay all of you Iphone peeps. I know you LUHV your iphones, and yeah, they are cool, but since Peter is on Verizon and my old phone had 3 buttons fall off and my husband hated that my t-mobile phone didn't have reception in our house, and I hated it too and because all of that I am now the proud owner of this phone. And. I. Love. It. (and it works when I am at home now! YAY!)

My Deep Covered Baker, by PAMPERED CHEF. For those of you who DON'T know, I am a newly crowned Pampered Chef Rep. . . and. . . I love it. I have always loved their stuff, but now that I can have EVERYTHING they put out it just thrills me to no end!! I ordered this Deep Covered Baker when I had a party in December, and let me tell you that this is the most versatile pan I have ever had in my kitchen. I made boneless ribs in it the other night and they were made to perfection. Tonight, I baked Salmon in it for 4 mins in my microwave, and voila. You can cook chicken in it in a few minutes. And guess what... the pan cleans like a SNAP. I can't believe all the pans I have scrubbed to death after a lovely meal. . . OVER. . . ENDED. . I love it.
