My body aches in whole new ways. I was complaining to my husband tonight that my back was hurting, my hips were hurting and my feet were hurting (I didn't even clean the floor today! That was YESTERDAY) and then I realized... I. AM. OLD. I am not in my twenties anymore, and I am feelin' it. Sometimes I feel like I am the only person on the PLANET having a baby at this age. (Even though I know I am not) I guess it is just the cold hard reality that I will be having one of these soon.
Late nights, early mornings, crying, diapers, teething, potty training... ONE MORE TIME. I can do it! (RIGHT? This is quickly becoming a pep talk for myself.) MOM, having a baby at 40... WOW. I am in awe. (At least I know where the crazy comes from) Wish me luck! And wish for me a VERY EASY BABY.
Here is to last babies!!! I can't decide whether to be sad, that I won't get to experience this again, or THRILLED I won't HAVE to experience this again! (Help me)

Be sad and be thrilled all at the same time!
You aren't THAT old! Sheesh...you are just older. If 35 is the new 25than you really aren't that old now are you...
Those newborn pics are so so adorable. You can totally do this one more time!
Be sad AND thrilled! They are emotions that won't be felt again for this purpose. Feel them all and take them all in. It's all so painfully, amazingly, beautiful!
Doesn't looking at those cute little baby pics make you a little bit excited that you get to sniff their newness one more time?
I'm sorry about the aches and pains. I am scared to try for another because it hurts my body so bad. beautifully painful! Remind me i said that...
Next time i will read the comments above mine to make sure that they aren't the same:)! What can I say, Jessica, great minds think alike:)!
Or you could be in my place, doing this for the very first time at age 35. I am so clueless as to this whole pregnancy/baby thing. I don't know which of my pregnancy symptoms are normal, and which ones are being aggravated by my extreme old age!
Considering that I am 26 and haven't even had my first yet (assuming I can even get pregnant) I'll be there someday too. Or at least I can hope so. Another reason to go to the gym today I guess.
Oh. and LUCK for an easy baby!
I totally feel your pain we will probaly be having our last when I'm around 35, even this second one is way worse then the first-it's scary really scary, but you'll do great-here's to wishing for any easy baby!!
It is thrilling when you are pregnant...
But OH SO SAD when they are one and you are longing for them never, ever, EVER to grow up.
I am 35 right here with ya!
I had my last one at 33 and it was really hard on me physically but it really is worth it. She is turning 2 tomorrow and the time has FLOWN! I can hardly believe I am 35. But my body doesn't let me forget it.
I am approaching 35 and I know what you mean about some days just feeling old. You can do it though! Having babies is not for the weak. You are one tough momma.
I think feeling like you might not be up to having a baby, at whatever age, for whatever reason, is healthy. Babies need moms and dads who are just a little panicked about something to keep them from being too casual about everything. This little girl is lucky all the way around, just like her momma!
I keep begging my friends to have babies. I don't want to have one, but I want one that I can hold and play with at my leisure. Can I move next door to you?
being old totally sucks, and I'm sorry! I have no good news for you as your much older (by 6 years) friend. ;) My mom had my younger sisters when she was 39 and 41. So seriously, you could keep on going!!!
I think you are in your prime girl! You are not old. But I think I know how you feel because IF I ever do get pregnant I will be in my 30's which freaks me out because I thought I'd have all my kids in my young peppy 20's. Oh well! Not much control there. Better now than never I think!
Also, my dad's cousin just got married last year. She is 50. She was in the mo tab choir and it just took awhile for her to get married...but she wanted a child too, so she got pregnant and just had her baby! YIKES. At 50. She's had a lot of complications too, I'm so worried and hope it all turns out okay. So when I think of that...35 is a babe!! You go girl!
Besides all the cuteness, sweetness, and edibleness of new babies, think of all the post possiblities.
You can totally do it. Enjoy it, especially if you know it won't happen again.
I swear our bodies are made to have children in our 20's. I had 2 pregnancies in my 30's and they were SO much harder than the others! You can do it!

Lindsey,
I would never diminish your pain and suffering. I look to you as a fabulous example of a mom in our day and age. I am amazed that with three already, you are gearing up for four (I am certain I was cut out for one maybe two at the most). I know you are fun, funny, loving and wise with your children. I love to hear you talk about the aches and pains, but please, please don't say you are too old... I just turned 38 and am not yet pregnant but looking forward to being a mom sometime. I need hope that it can be done without torture.
If you lived out here by me you would just be getting started...you're still a young spring chicken! You can do it!!!
HELLO. Right there with you! I am so amazed at the difference I feel with this pregnancy, body-wise. I'm really hoping there's some wisdom with this age thing, though and I'll be a better mommy to this one!
(And how are you knowing this is your last?? I want that feeling!)
TO all you LOVELIES who are just venturing (or trying to venture) on the baby making experience... Good for you. I didn't say there was a time that was too LATE..Or that you SHOULDN'T I said, you are OLD. And you will FEEL IT. That being said... there is nothing wrong with having a baby at this age! PS- I love that you old women are out there with me. :)May who WANT to be pregnant BE pregnant!
I can totally relate to the aches of having babies later in life. I had my 1st baby at 30 and my 5th at 38. I couldn't believe how bad my hips hurt the older I got!
Take care of yourself Lindsey, and enjoy every minute you can. You are not old! I like to think I am getting better with age, although I may just be good at deceiving myself ;-)
You can do it Lindz! You've got that sister for cutest Abby and I know she will be so grateful to have her. Just like I am lucky to have you!
I think those little caboose babies are always the sweetest and cutest! You will be GRRRRReat Lindsey.
