I have a secret

When I am blog silent, it is usually because my "real life" becomes so insanely busy that I don't have a single solitary second to put together thoughts that belong on a blog.

I don't like it.

Because I have "blog thoughts" when I am not blogging, but they can't be translated into "blogland" because I just don't.have.the.time.

But I miss it.

But I don't miss it.

But I wonder if you miss me.

But then I realize that you probably don't.

But then I check my statcounter.

And I realilze that a few of you, do, indeed, miss me.

And the rest of you, have a blogreader. (GOOD WORK!)

But even when I do blog, only a few of you say hi. (A sad fact that I am trying to get over)

But then I check my statcounter, and realize, that indeed, you all stopped by. (Why don't you say hi next time!)

Here are my most recent BLOG THOUGHTS:

  • I fell off my step at step class. #1 Reason I don't attend step class.
  • I am so insanely grateful that school started. (I.KNOW)
  • I have had a serious hip problem that hurts like Hades and makes me feel 80.
  • I had two birthdays last week back to back. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PETER AND ABBY! I LOVE YOU! Huh, funny, that happens EVERY year.
  • I watched the Bachelorette and. . . I THINK IT MIGHT WORK! REALLY!
  • I love Chris L.
  • Sorry honey.
  • I want to do another Pampered Chef Giveaway.
  • Do you all want me to?
  • I am going to lunch with a famous blogger that now lives by me! LOVE IT!
  • My garage door is STILL BROKEN
  • My car got fixed. For. FREE.
  • I like Nutella. TOO MUCH.

That's all I got! Have a great day! Maybe I will stop by again soon!

RANDOM THOUGHTS

Here we go with random thoughts again....

  • I had a dream last night that someone borrowed our Harkin's cups and threw them away after using them. I was SOOOOOOOOO mad. (Shows what is important to me, eh?)

  • Peter told me one of his favorite things that Jaxon says when you give him something he wants is, "COME TO POPPA!" Yes, my child says, "Come to Poppa" and I think it is equally hilarious.

  • I am tired. VERY tired. No one is sleeping around here and it is making me grumpy. VERY grumpy. Not good when you have kids home all day on spring break.

  • I have piles and piles of laundry to fold.

  • My sugar challenge is almost over. (Wednesday night I will be eating my chocolate eggs at midnight, ok, maybe I will wait until morning)

  • I have lost 9 lbs. so far. Not bad. I plan on doing more no sugar stuff to meet my goals. But will celebrate my month without by having Easter candy.

  • I have lots of work to do. In-laws are coming in on Wednesday.

  • I got my old computer back.. you know, the one that had the "t" problem. I love it. Ahhhhhhh so glad to have a nice computer again. That was a long 4 months.

  • I am going to be ON TV on Friday! Stay tuned for more details!!

  • Pretty excited for DWTS tonight. I need some entertainment.

HAVE A GREAT MONDAY!

What are my options?

For people who know me, they know that I would never, in a million years be caught dead in a mini-van. I am not sure why the repulse me so. Maybe because they have no character, no style... no. . . somethin'. I have been driving a Honda Pilot since 2006, and I love it. It is a great car and I think it is CUTE.

I know.

CUTE?

Yes, cute.

I love it.

I have never thought of replacing it. Well, not really, I mean, I know at some point Jaxon's legs are going to get so long that they will be touching his chin if he sits in the back seat, but I figured I didn't have to deal with that for a long. . .long. . . time.

Then yesterday, I went to a dealership. I was working. (If youknowhatimean) And I had to ask about a car. I asked about a Mini-van.

See? Even if you put it in front of a cute Cape Cod style house. It is STILL ugly.. With that square back. Ugh.

But then, I looked inside.

Double video players (that can play two different videos)

Ambient Lighting that can be on while driving- Like a limo.

Wireless Headphones

All the windows roll down.

All the doors open and shut with a click.

It had a sunroof.. for me.

It had a back up cam.

Fold down seating.

GPS

32 G Hard drive (it will load up any CD you put in there including movies)

Ipod compatible.

It streams live tv channels.

It had heated seats.

And you could plug things in... INTO REGULAR PLUGS.

It is like driving a hotel room around. . .which is one of the reasons I hated it, but guess what?

Now, I LOVE IT.

You will probably find me dead, in my mini-van.

And no, I can't believe I just typed those words.

MEET MY BACHELOR

You know, I am obsessed with The Bachelor. And secretly, haven't you ALLLLLLLLL dreamt in your head that you wished there was an LDS Bachelor on BYU TV? Oh come on... I know you have... Here is the thing... I HAVE GOT HIM! A BACHELOR! And his name is Jimmy.

Ok, you can call him Jim, but to me, he is Jimmy. We go back about 10 years back to post graduation days in SLC. He hung with me and my girls at the condo all the time... Was a regular fixture and just recently, I found him on the FB and he was... SINGLE. Never married, and SINGLE.

I found it hard to believe, I mean, IT'S JIMMY! One of the most likable, lovable guys on the planet! I had to find out his scoop, so I messaged him. I told him I thought I could hook him up with some chicks.. because EVERYONE knows SOMEONE... So, I am coming to YOU people. YOU, my readers. And just in case you are skeptical, remember, I met my husband on-line 10 years ago.. So, it can work. TRUST ME.

Do you know a lady? A 30 something lady who is looking for a man? It's almost Valentines Day and I KNOW you are all in the mood to play match-maker, so, let's do it. Here is a few of Jimmy's dets:

From: Thousand Oaks, CA. (Ventura County) Grew up near by and after a stint at BYU and SLC moved back there and has been there for the past 9 years. [You do NOT have to live locally to apply! It never hurts to meet someone long-distance. Peter was in Seattle when I was in SLC! Let's face it, you can't always meet someone locally!]

Likes to: Travel to watch sports (i.e. go to a Dodgers game or travel to a bowl game), go out to eat, go to movies, host parties (no wonder I liked him!) and cook for a crowd.

Graduated: from BYU in '97 in Sociology with a Minor in Business and is currently working as a Manufacturing Sales Rep. Has been doing so for the past 5 years and owns his own house in the Thousand Oaks area. . . Has won sales awards for the past few years and sadly, has to take buddies to Hawaii with him...

If he does get married: He wants a few kids...

He thinks that humor, openness, and GENUINE kindness make a good relationship. And Jimmy just doesn't mean, "NICE", He means, someone who is genuinely KIND to others and seeks their welfare (aw--he is sweet). Being easy going (Jimmy is) and fun loving (Jimmy is) is also a major plus and he would prefer to stay away from any D.R.A.M.A. nice and steady does the trick.

On dates he likes to: Do lots! Go on a bit of a marathon date! Try something new like Whale watching, going to the pier and catching a bite to eat.

The kind of girl Jimmy is looking for is

  • Genuinely Kind

  • a little spice is GOOD

  • affectionate (catching up for lost time)

  • grounded in the gospel-- gotta know it girls!

  • attractive - (come on, we all know you HAVE to be attracted to someone)

  • good with money-- I used the word frugal, and he stayed away from that, but likes to follow a BUDGET.

IF YOU KNOW A SINGLE LADY IN HER 30'S THAT MEETS THIS DESCRIPTION, PLEASE HAVE HER E-MAIL ME AT LINDZSTEWATHOTMAILDOTCOM. I will forward your info on to Jimbo.

IF YOU DON'T KNOW A SINGLE LADY IN HER MID-30'S PLEASE COPY THIS POST, OR PUT A LINK TO IT ON YOUR BLOG. HELP A BACHELOR OUT! LET'S MAKE A CONNECTION!

Random Thoughts #4

  • Should I even be numbering random thoughts? It could get extensive.

  • SYTYCD was gooooood last night.

  • Ryan and Kathryn's dance was hot.Hot.HOT!!!

  • I watched it like, 4 times. It was very well executed and did I mention, hot?

  • I can't believe how many of you are Jakob haters!

  • WHO CARES if he is gay? He is an AWESOME dancer, and I think one of the better partner dancers! (even though he is gay--probably)

  • Kathryn has really surprised me, YOU?

  • Molly has gotten better too

  • But Legacy has to go, YES, even over Ryan.

  • Did I mention his dance was HOT last night?

  • I want to see Burn the Floor in NYC. Anyone want to go with me? GIRLS TRIP!

  • This is becoming a Random Thoughts SYTYCD version

  • But before I go, I want to thank Matt and Luciana Damon for the wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner we had last night. Matt is just so down to earth, and so is Lucy (as he calls her). There house was charming and NOT ostentatious and everything went swimmingly until Matt got a call on the bat phone (that is what he calls it) which is a direct line from the security company that watches his house saying that there was paparazzi there. I was worried because he went outside to handle it himself, but he was totally cool, and just asked them very nicely to leave. I was impressed. (I AM NOT PREGNANT, why am I having dreams about celebrity friends?!?!?!)

  • And finally, I wanted to share a picture about how we all feel about our pants some times as demonstrated by my daughter Kaylin.

Sometimes, when you sit down, your pants feel like they are doing this to your stomach.

Don't you all wish you could all do this and just make it feel a little better?

And as a side note to Old Navy. Can we put a little stretch in those jeans?? We shouldn't make our daughters succumb to our pressures so early in life. :)
  • I am down a pant size. But not to MY pant size. Still working on it. :)

RANDOM THOUGHTS #3

If you have a piece of furniture to paint. Don't paint it red. Because it takes 24 hours in between each coat to dry and it takes several coats to cover and seriously .... just don't do it. Especially if it is an armoire because then it has a gazillion pieces that you have to paint and they will have to lay all over your kitchen floor all night and then you have to pick them up and then get them out the next night and then clean them up and then get them out and SO ON AND SO FORTH AND SO ON AND SO FORTH. (just don't)

If you decide to go see New Moon, FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HUMAN, please DO NOT TAKE YOUR HUSBAND. Is that really not such an obvious thing??? It will ruin it for you... because, it is a teeny bopper flick that you really shouldn't be seeing unless you are under the age of 21. Unless of course you are a fan of the book and you just want to see the dream in your head in reality. . . but then for PETE'S SAKE!!! DON'T TAKE YOUR HUSBAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Yes, it really did need all of those exclamation points)

Watch Castle. It is on after Dancing with the Stars, and it is funny. Seriously. It is one of the best new shows on TV. Totally entertaining. (At least at this point) I wonder if it will begin to be formulaic, but for right now, it is funny, and is filling the spot left in my heart from Burn Notice, which I can't watch because I don't have that channel anymore.

Speaking of Dancing with the Stars... I was worried Donny was going to pull out the faces last night... VERY worried. Is anyone inspired by it this season?? I am not really. And I miss Julianne Hough. Too many of the other pros are getting too . . . . full of themselves... (HI MARK) However, I have LOVED seeing the change in LOUIS. (Kelly has changed him . . seriously.) And I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Dimitri.. Is anyone as happy as I am to see his smiling face (not to mention. . . never mind) on this show?? I love it when they bring people over from SYTYCD.

And don't even get me started on Adam Lambert... what a joke. I should have realized when I saw those album covers.... Oh wait, I did.

Need something else to bake??
Make a spice cake (you can use a mix) and put Penuche Frosting on top... Completely and totally addictive. . . YOU'RE WELCOME.

Video Crazy

tI have this weird bug on my computer. If I use caps or a tab, I get a weird random t somewhere. I don't feel like fixing it right now, so, if one pops up... just know that is whty! Mkay?

tI took a bunch of silly videos lately. tMty kids are just doing funny things. tI know no one will probably watch them, but the grandparents will! t:t)

Does anyone know how to fix this bugt? It is soooooooooo annotying. tGessh.

tAntyway, here is the first video. tAnd if you can resist the title...

tJaxon Does the tRobot. tI am seriously obsessed with the song he is dancing to. tI just love it right now. tYou know how you just fall in love with a song and listhen to it over, and over and tOVER?? Yeah.. that is this one.

I love the hook and love the remix. tI can't even think of the song it is remixing. I am sure it is an 80s song. tWish tI could think of it.

tThis is a nifty trick I saw Katylie doing while eating peas. . . I was super impressed . tI have never seen a baby do something so dexterile. (tIs that even a word? I think I just made it up) tAntyway. I explain what to look for on the video. If you miss it, rewind.

This is another video of the super talented K. She had the slinkty in her mouth and was pulling it out like a large green tongue. Well, tyou will just have to see what I mean.

tOk, so, she didn't quite get it done in that video, but it is still cute. HERE is the video of the large green tongue. tShe didn't do it that well in this video, but it was hard to capture.

Random Thoughts

  • I am making Pumpkin Muffins right now. Like RIGHT NOW. Make some. Be sure to put the Cream Cheese Frosting on top. . . Don't even think about leaving it off. DON'T. If you do. . you don't love me.
  • You will thank me later.
  • Take the last swig of milk RIGHT out of the milk jug. It is liberating.
  • I fought today, and won. Keep fightin'.
  • Loved Nie on Oprah. Loved her synopsis even more.
  • I wish they would have spent more time on her. Her story was more 'inspirational' and to me, the other story just seemed plumb tragic.
  • Fall TV, do you have any new favorite shows? Let me know, because I could possibly provide my ever so charming critique.
  • I need a nap.
  • Speaking of which, K woke up upset at about 4:45 (she went back to sleep THANK GOODNESS!). As I walked to her bedroom, I saw the light glowing downstairs. Wade was up watching The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. . It was on to the second video on the DVD. I am not sure how long he was up, but, he has been asking to go back to bed since 10:00 this morning. So, I guess. . . he was probably up since 3:00 a.m.?
  • Yes, Wade can turn on the TV, DVD, and even knows how to work the DVR. It is sad/scary, but true.
  • My house smells like pumpkin muffins.
  • I don't like the smell of this rental. Except for now.
  • Applesauce is on sale for $1.75/6 pack at Target. If you buy 5 (=$8.75) they will give you a $5 gift card. . . It is like paying .75 a 6 pack.
  • I LOVE COUPONING
  • and canning raw meat.

Cheery and Random

How about a more cheery post than the one before, mkay? Sorry about that. . . sometimes . . well, you know.

Anywho. . I am still dreadfully ill, but, moving on. . I got something CUTE IN THE MAIL!!! Remember this? Well, I got my GET CUTE NOW stuff in the mail, and it is FAR BETTER than I had hoped.

I got them for so cheap that I thought, just for a minute, maybe they are super tiny or something?? You know, sometimes deals just aren't what they seem. . But nope! They are fabulous and I LOVE them! I am so glad I spotted them because they were such a great deal, and although I still tote my diaper bag (even though it is super cute) for the most part, now, if I leave K home, I don't have to take my diaper bag!! YAY!

Here is me (during my sick days.. sorry, no make-up. Just keepin' it REAL ya'll!) toting the black bag and Abby toting the Green (almost was orange, but chose green at the last second) bag!

See how super serious of a model she is? Yeah. When I handed her the bag she said, is this one mine??? Hahahah.. Not on your life girlfriend! What she goes from 8 to 16in like point 2!

I love em! And you will be seeing alot of those purses if you see me around! If you got one, post and tell me which one! I hope you scored a great deal too!

In other news: Thank you to Kathy Ireland who has let all the world see her post baby body. . If you want a good idea of what mine looks like, here you go.

That is pretty much my gut in a nut shell. Ugh. To make me even a little more crazy, my hubby is losing weight. I hate that. (Good for you honey, really, I mean it. And you are NOT going to catch me. . even though I say you might) I really need to do something now... . I think I might have to post a before pick on here with measurements and blog about it every week, because I am just not feelin' the motivation to work out. I think I might need a little encouragement from blog land.

In other big news: Kaylin is getting one of these:

Why you might ask? She needs one. Remember when I asked if anyone knew anything about Torticollis? (Was that just on the FB?) Anyway, she had it. I think I worked through it pretty well for the most part, but, there are some head shape issues. The Dr. who fits babies for this asked me how severe I thought it was on a scale from 1-5. I said a 3. After measuring her head, he said, "Well, I would say on scale from 1-5, she is about a 3. . . " [Cheater] Anywho. It is purely cosmetic. And you might say, THAT IS CRUEL! And to you I would say, This baby has an 99.9% chance that she will be over 6'1" tall. She needs to have a nice head shape and no other abnormalities... trust me. (currently she is sporting a nice sloped forehead b/c of the torticollis, and although it is slight, and mostly hidden by her hair, I don't want to take any chances.) Besides, she is dangerously close to learning how to crawl, so, she could use a little extra head padding, don't cha think?

Oh, this blog post is so fun! Are you bored to tears yet? You are probably only still reading if you know me personally... Thank you.

Last bit of news: Wade is getting tubes and an adenoidectomy next Friday. YIPPEE! I say that with all sincerity because he has already had 4 ear infections since ONE of his tubes has fallen out and we are on our way into fall. . . after which Peter has promised to snip all of his binki's off. Stay tuned for that fun week.

Did I mention we have ROCKIN' health insurance??? SERIOUSLY ROCKIN! I am on my way into checking about my varicose veins, Peter's vasectomy and a possible tummy tuck for me. . . I am sure I can find some medical reason for it! :)
