I had seen on-line that you CAN actually make a cover, but my WISE MIL decided that she would rather PAY SOMEONE ELSE to make that cover than try to help me make one herself. (Smart lady) I was happy to receive the gift and it was a lot cheaper than buying a new seat, so we picked out the fabric and away it went.
I forgot all about it until yesterday when it showed up at my door! Hmmm? Package? What is this??? It was all bundled up in a cute little tied up roll .........along with a SUPER cute special gift! (Thanks sooooo much Kate!) Anyway, I guess now that Christmas is cleaned up, I can carry forward with the rest of the baby prep. I will keep you posted on how it goes. At least now I have a super cute (not so old and hammered looking car seat! I am SURE she will be snuggly and warm in this little seat courtesy of Kate's mad skils.
As I was putting the straps back in, I became a little overwhelmed [Scared to death] that there will be a wee one in this basket soon. It all seems like such a great idea until it is almost ready to come out!!! Either way, she is COMING and her basket is READY. I wish I was feeling more ready...

As soon as you hold that little one in your arms, you will be more than ready. :)
That seat is so cute it almost makes me want to have another wee one. You are going to be fine and remember...you have older kids that LOVE to help!
That car seat cover is the cutest I have ever seen! Can't wait to see the baby in it!!
Okay...I am so jipped. I need a MIL who will spoil me like that!
That is stinking cute!
There is nothing more exciting than a new baby coming into the world. "Enjoy" that last month!
I LOVE that! I wish that I could sew. I would have made you one:). And a blanket, and a Moby wrap, and a nursing cover, and a crib set...
SO CUte!! I want one of those!! Babies that is and then a car seat for my Granma car. Are you going on bedrest? ick.
Um, I NEED one of those too! Laura is cruising around in a blue car seat and despite the pink blanket surrounding her, I still get questions about my little boy.
So where did you get it?
That seat is adorable! I made one for my last kid (I was over the blue gingham--go figure.) But it's way more fun to just have one arrive at your door.
