If you didn't get to watch it, here is a run down:

Best Overblown Injury: Marshana: with a bloody lip... Ohhhhh such a HORRIFIC injury.
Favorite Actress: Shane - "My top five are like- cars, shoes, handbags, watches, sunglasses, I think if you have all those five, it doesn't matter what you are wearing on your body."

Most commonly said: Matt: "I missed you" He said it to at least 6 women.
Favorite Quote: Noelle: "I feel like the only person here, who is, you know ...real. And I feel like nobody sees that."
Most Annoying: Ashley: Because wearing fake eyelashes to play rugby IS ridiculous.

DECORATING MECCA
I may talk about this store a little too much. I don't even live NEAR one and for that reason, I MUST go to the store.. I admit, I am drawn to it... it speaks to me... I think about it... I wonder what wonderful items are on the shelves... I think about what I "need" in my house just so I can have a valid excuse to go there, even though my house is already decorated. But, you know, you always need SOMETHING... well, that SOMETHING can be found at Tai Pan, and usually for a fraction of the cost. I love this store, and will sometimes even make multiple visits. It always pays off, and when people come to my house and say, "Oh, that is cute" My response is always the same... TAI PAN.
My mom and I showed up at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, and we had the WHOLE place to ourselves! (Um, we didn't bother with showering like the rest of the clientele that visit Tai Pan- we are much more interested in just getting in the door and pounding out the pavement.)
When you enter the store, you are greeted with incredible vignettes of merchandise. It must take an army to get this store put together, and it is bigger, with more merchandise than ever before. You MUST click on the pictures to get the full effect.
Do you need a lantern? I loved all of these, I just wish I had a place to put it in my house. Some of these things could only go in a VERY LARGE HOUSE... But they are amazing anyway.
Need a basket?
A glass vase?
A mirror or wall sconce?
They had made these Geraniums into a great door wreath. I will be copying it for the summer. I will be sure to blog about it. :) You can't see them unless you click on the picture, but they are laying down on their sides.
How about hanging a few glass vases from a nearby tree. Love it.
The good news is: I was able to get out of the store on Saturday for less than $100. (I usually end up around $150) But because there is no major holiday coming up, I was able to avoid it... I DID get: the cutest pear shaped basket, fourth of July garland made of felt stars, a ceramic Easter pot with bunny for 75% off, one head of fake cabbage to go in it (sorry Nate) and a fork and knife book easel for cookbooks out of pewter. I could never leave the store empty handed. :)

Inheritance
You know how when you find out that Aunt Vernie love to crochet and you also love to crochet, so you feel some kind of connection with that... like you may have some how inherited a gene that loves crocheting? Well, I have been racking my brain all morning about the word that describes it when you inherit a trait from a family member. I can't think of a better word than the one I came up with, but it seems as if there IS one out there (it is just not coming to MY mind)
Anyway, I love these kinds of moments that connect you with your past, or history because things become so much more clear. . .
I am sure many of you have one of these on your counter top.
Well, I do too, and this just happens to be my mom's because I am at their house this weekend. I enjoy cooking and believe I definitely got that "gene" from my mom, but this morning there was an AGE OLD mystery that my husband has been trying to figure out since we got married and that is. . . WHY DO I USE STEAK KNIFES FOR EVERYTHING??? If there is something to be cut, trimmed, stabbed, diced, sliced, or whathaveyou, I use a BELOVED steak knife.
I was pretty sure it was just because they are sitting their on the kitchen counter top and they are easy to grab. But then I realized that the entire knife block is sitting there... so why not just use the appropriate tool for the job? Maybe it is because I have a "gene" that tells me I just need to use the steak knife.
This morning, I found this in my mom's kitchen, and it wasn't there because we had chicken fried steak for breakfast.
We had cereal, toast, cream cheese eggs, and orange slices. What do you think the steak knife was used for? I'll tell you.. it was used for cutting the cream cheese . . oh, and in my parents defense, I also used it to cut an orange.

Food Frenzy
If you have never checked out my Favorite Family Food Blog... now is the time to do it! I am at my mom's house for the week and I am going through her recipe drawer...yes....drawer. You might ask, why does she keep recipes in a drawer? To be honest, I don't know, but it is the most wackadoo way to keep things "organized" mainly because they aren't.
If there is a recipe that she likes or wants to try or that someone gave to her, it gets slapped into the drawer. There are many amazing recipes in the drawer.
Tonight, I spent the night looking through the drawer trying to find the family treasures... you know, the recipes that she makes each year during the holidays, or the recipes that just the thought or smell of them bring back a myriad of memories... those recipes . . and if they ended up on my food blog. . .it is official, they are awesome.
Some of these recipes are 30+ years old, in her mother's handwriting, or copied on a ditto machine (if you don't know what that is, ask someone over 30 years old). Some were torn out of magazines and newspapers and tattered and brown and so fragile that you feel like they are going to turn to dust if you pick them up! My mom seems to think they are "organized" in the drawer . . . desserts on the right, other stuff on the left. . . Um, right. . .
That is ok. I am doing my part to preserve our family history (in a food kind of way)and gain another 10 pounds cooking things that I love and things that remind me of growing up with a wonderful mother who just also happened to be a wonderful cook. Enjoy

Constantly Infirm
Woops- really the Scared Spitless post was supposed to be first. . :)
DO NOT LET THIS HAPPY BABY PICTURE FOOL YOU. WADE HAS NOT BEEN TRULY HAPPY FOR NEARLY THREE MONTHS.
(In this pic, it was 9:00 p.m. and he was ridiculously slap happy and started to laugh when I was taking pictures of the 'frat boy' partier passed out in the car on the way home from a rousing game of bowling) . . . ANYWAY. . Back to the infirm.
Wade-- 6 visits to the Dr. between January 29th and March 5th. 3 ear infections, 3 rounds of antibiotics, Tubes on March 17th (the Dr. said his ears were already infected again when he put the tubes in). We went in for a 'well-baby' appointment on the following Monday and the crabby baby that I thought was crabby because he was over coming his tube surgery was really just crabby because he had ANOTHER ailment. . . .Hand, Foot, Mouth Disease. Great . . . I can only think of one other disease that makes me feel as gross as this one and that would be lice. Maybe we will go to a Chicken Pox Party and I will wrap him in the blanket of another infected child and go for the TRIFECTA! Honestly, let it be over.

Scared Spitless
I consider myself to be kind of tough. No, really tough. Meaning I can handle just about anything from minor mishaps to major catastrophes. I can plan a party for 100s and I can plan a party for 5. I am not saying I don't get scared, I do, sometimes, but it is usually a big motivator and I become super ultra organized and productive. (I am starting to sound like a super-hero. I am not)
Last night, was not one of those times. I am sorry to the server who was serving us at the Melting Pot restaurant. I was a wreck . . tears and sobbing. If you have never been there, (I never had) they have to approach your table a jagillion times to explain things and take orders and bring/stir/prepare food. To him, I am sorry. I am sure that he thought I was having a nervous break down and I WAS. My husband and I were just trying to spend some time together as a couple before I ditched my him for a week to take my kids to go see Grandma K-lo in Utah. Unfortunately for my husband, it it was not quality time spent before being away from each other, but a major scoopmeoffthefloorbecauseiamcurledupinthefetalposition kind of moment.
My sisters who live near both sets of grandparents marvel at how I jump on a plane or in my car sans husband with my kids and generally take no thought as to how hard it might be, or what catastrophes might happen and I would LAUGH IN THE FACE OF THEIR FEAR saying it was BASELESS and STUPID and I would do ANYTHING to spend time with the family and only MERE MORTALS WOULD HAVE SUCH FEAR!!!. . . until last night. I don't know what happened but I was suddenly frozen with fear of all the things I might encounter the next day.
Wade has been particularly grumpy (see the constantly infirm post) for the last 8 weeks and at church on Sunday he was a complete mad man who would not sit nicely on a lap for two seconds. Imagine a puddle jumper plane seating only 50 people and me with my 6 year old daughter, Autistic 4 year old son and crazy busy 1 year old who will NOT sit on a lap. Yup... SCARED SPITLESS.
I finally figured it was too late to do anything about it and I better buck up and get on with it. So, I did.
Here the troops are happy and getting through security.
Notice the time on the clock.
Oh, no, that is NOT PM... THAT is AM. So, I am now certain you know what time I had to get up.
I had my arsenal of food, entertainment, bottles and sippy cups ready to roll. I couldn't find the charger for the DVD player, which is really the slam dunk in dealing with Jaxon on a plane. So, at the last minute (I was literally downloading movies and synching them at the VERY LAST MINUTE from 11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.) I grabbed my ipod and loaded some movies onto it. I will NEVER haul that heavy and cumbersome DVD player around AGAIN! The ipod was perfect and amazing and a lifesaver. (Plus you can RENT videos on Itunes for just a couple of dollars) It worked like a charm.
Abby is self sufficient (thank heavens) and Wade?
He fell asleep after only one book on the first leg of our flight and I sat still as a stone so as to not wake him from his peaceful and obviously God sent slumber. The second verse (flight) same as the first . . peaceful, content, perfect, amazing. Never ONCE did he try to wriggle off my lap as I stuffed his little face with fruit snacks, cookies, sippy cups and bottles. Heavenly Father shows his mercy in such wonderful ways.

Guilty-est of Pleasures
I hide this fact from most people. I would never admit it in public where people could guffaw at me, or give me a dirty look. I mean, there are far more redeeming things to do with my time, I am sure. However, I do enjoy it soooooooooooo much. I have already revealed my reality TV obsession. Maybe I enjoy it because --it make me feel like a semi-normal individual-- and even if it suspends that belief for just one hour, it helps and is worth it. I look forward to it and watch the clock click down to 10:00 p.m. I have the DVR set to record and at 10:15, I turn on THE BACHELOR.
I know, I know.. horrible, disgusting... HILARIOUS TV!
I must admit that it is more fun when you are watching it with a girlfriend. I finally convinced my neighbor and friend Amy to come over and watch it with me. It is far more fun that way because you can process the ridiculousness in new ways. Tivo helps to, because sometimes things go by WAYYYYYYYYYY too fast and pausing to stare at the ensembles that are put together at the final rose ceremony make it TOTALLY worth it.
Favorite Quote from Amy: "Oh, please don't sing Opera. . . NOBODY looks good singing Opera."
Favorite Quote from the Bachelorettes: (and yes, we rewound it just to be sure it is what she really said) upon her departure. . ."I just can't wait to get home to my cat . . and to hear her puuurrr again . . . [sniffle] she is the only person in my life right now."
COME ON! Doesn't that make you feel PRETTY GREAT about your life???? Even just a little?
Please join me 10:15 p.m. my place, Monday night. I provide goodies. It is always good for a laugh.

Happy Easter!
Here is where I would put an adorable picture of my kids in their sooooooooooo cute Easter outfits. Didn't happen.
Why?
Because we have 9:00 a.m. church and I had to iron Jaxon's shirt before church and roll out 30 rolls for dinner at my mother-in-laws and find Easter Baskets (the Easter Bunny hid them so that Jaxon could not eat all the candy out of them before anyone else woke up--- consequently, he was the last one up) and eat Easter candy (and breakfast too) ALL BEFORE 9:00 a.m. Church! IMPOSSIBLE!
Why didn't we take one after church? Because Wade gets taken home the last hour of church because it is absolutely pointless to be in church unless you just want to socialize in the hall and when we all got home he was in bed anyway and Jaxon's shirt no longer looked ironed (it is linen, I am stupid) and we all wanted to get in 'comfy' clothes as soon as possible anyway.
Maybe next week. ;)
I will be in UTAH visiting my Mom... THEN you will see adorable Easter outfits on super cute kids . . . a week late.
If any of you UTAHNS want to get together, let me know! I would love to see you! Maybe we can eat Cake from Leslie's together, or maybe my sister will make THESE! Or, I can meet you at Tai Pan . . don't worry, I will blog about THAT later.

The Black Hole
First off, I have to say, I am not a great bargain shopper. I mean, if there is a bargain, and I see it, I am on it. But I don't get the newspaper, so I don't get the grocery store adds, and therefore, I don't really know what is "on-sale" around me. Recently a woman in our stake held a RS meeting about such activities and I have to admit, although I am 'interested' in this 'theory' I just have a hard time making it come to fruition. It is hard enough to get my laundry done around hear much less peruse hundreds of pages of adds for the things I WANT to buy. Not just things that I COULD buy. For these reasons I am a big fan of COSTCO.
These people have got their whole marketing ploy IN THE BAG!! First, they tell you, that if you buy in bulk, you are saving money. I do have to admit, we go through a lot of diapers, formula (we just dropped that recently) laundry detergent, meat, cheese and milk in this house. And when you see that your kids have dusted an entire Costco box of Quaker Granola Bars, it starts to feel like a bit of an accomplishment! Doesn't it?? It feels like you just might be saving money until you hit the check out stand and it is a good $200 just to get out of the store! What on earth did I just buy? Milk laced with GOLD??
Now, maybe some of you are like me, and think . . . well, it is kind of food storage at the same time. I could grab that giant box of mini-wheats in an emergency and feed the entire neighborhood! So, you rationalize the dollar figure by assuming that you are doing yourself some kind of favor in the long run, and maybe you are.
What I REALLY love doing at Costco, (aside from testing all of the samples) is seeing what other things people are buying in BULK. It is amazing isn't it? I consider the things that I buy to be fairly run-of-the-mill family fare. But have you ever seen the grandma pull up to the check out counter with the giant plastic box of garlic cloves? Or the man with a flat of Crisco-- and nothing else? What exactly are they DOING with all of that stuff? Has any one ever purchased the giant container of Shitake Mushrooms????? (I have to admit, I have thought about it. . . I have! I cook a lot of Asian dishes.... OK???????)
Anyway, one of the other great marketing ploys Costco has is the 'cash back' plan. We got our beloved check in the mail just the other day. It was for $156. My husband and I were arguing on the way there about the ACTUAL value of the check. He says it is $156 (sucker). I instantly look at that as $56 because $100 of that is going right back to my Costco membership just so I can have the membership that actually pays me back. . . hmmm. . . so, I spend $$$$$ at Costco last year and all I get back is $56??? I guess that is going to buy me a couple of bags of bulk chicken. There! I have done it!!! I have saved some money!!!!! Ha.
Now, I will follow Gab's lead. What is in YOUR costco cart??

Number 1
This BIRTHDAY BOY is # 1
Wade celebrated his first birthday yesterday. It was a great birthday with lots of love and lots of cake, of course.
The best thing that Wade got for his birthday, he got this morning. One tube in each ear... YIPPEE!!! It is the best birthday present he got!
The best part of the night was eating his cake. I will illustrate via Wade's thought process.
Hmmmmmmm... this looks like NOTHING I have ever eaten before. . .
I guess I shouldn't try to make a mess. . .
But this is awfully good . . .
This is much better than I thought. There has got to be a way to get more of it in my mouth . . .
Is anybody looking????
I don't really care, this is delicious!!
Maybe I shouldn't have . .
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WADE! Here is the extended cake eating. He shoves it in at about 4 minutes. It is worth the wait. Or, you can fast forward it.

The Middle Man
Jaxon is a blessing . . . in so many ways. Yes, it is challenging to have a child with Autism, (and overwhelming, frustrating, horrifying, scary, debilitating, enlightening, refreshing, and fun) but my husband and I were out to dinner last night and we realized that Jaxon provides us with something that we probably would have NEVER had if we didn't have him and that is: A simple and pure outlook of success.
Success is measured so differently when you have a child with Autism. With our older daughter, we are frustrated when she doesn't get 100% on a spelling test that she aced at home. . . with Jaxon, we will be THRILLED if we can teach him how to read. With Wade . . . we want him to go to school and have a career! With Jaxon, we will be thrilled if he can get a job at McDonald's.
Now, before you get up in arms about the low-expectations we have for Jaxon. It really isn't that way, it is just that we have been released from ANY expectation. The NATURAL expectation that you have for your kids... it is just not there with Jaxon. I am sure he WILL be able to do the things that I mentioned (read, get a job) but, it is a blessing to just feel grateful for what he DOES accomplish . . instead of having expectations for your children that they may or may not accomplish. You know, we ALL have them. But it is nice to NOT have them for Jaxon.
I would like to think that our Heavenly Father looks at us more the way we look at Jaxon, instead of the way everyone thinks He does...like He is disappointed when we don't 'measure up' to His expectations for us. Maybe He is just thrilled with what we DO learn, and what we DO accomplish. Of course, He always wants more for us, but probably doesn't hang it over our heads.
It is just a different outlook on life, success and expectations. Without him, we wouldn't have that. Thank you Jaxon: we love you.
PS- That big giant chair that you see Jaxon sitting it, yeah, the one that looks like it came from your Grandma's house? Well, it did. And it graces Peter's MAN ROOM.

Controversial Post-- Watch OUT!
First off, I bought the green one, and thank you for your votes. To be TOTALLY HONEST, I had already bought it, but wasn't sure if I had made the right choice, so I decided to ask for some help! I am glad you all concurred. :)
Now, on to my controversial post. DOES THIS WOMAN LOOK LIKE A CRIMINAL?
I don't like to watch the news. (Except for E news, of course) I think it is depressing (E-news can be depressing too... thanks Britney). Therefore, I don't read the news either. I pretty much get ALL my news from the MSN website when I log off my e-mail. I know, I know! You are probably disgusted and ashamed. I would be too, but if it is a matter that I need to be informed on, I do do some due diligence and check out "reliable" news sources.
Today I clicked on a link that said, "Mom faces trial for leaving kid in the car". My stomach just about dropped out and hit the floor. I mean, really????? TRIAL???? JAIL??????? I am sure you can guess by now that I have done this before... This woman was within eye shot of the car, and was assisting her two other kids with dumping money into the salvation army can and taking pictures (she must be a blogger). She was not far from her car (within eye shot) and when she got back two officers arrested her for child endangerment and put her in the back of the squad car with her children watching. Child services investigated and found no other problems with child abuse or mis-care of her children and now she is facing a year in prison if convicted. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Are they really considering putting the mother of 3 children in PRISON and leave them MOTHERLESS for a year??????
I am not going to site any particular instances of me doing this and I will not lie, it makes me nervous when I do it. I am not sure if I am nervous because of what I am doing, or because of being caught, but none the less, I have done it (only with them in eyeshot). HAVE YOU???
Your thoughts please. Do I need to reform? Or is this as crazy to you as it is to me???
PS- What ever happend to the people who left their sleeping toddler in the car while they were gambling at the Casino! I never heard of THEM being prosecuted!!!!

Calling All Fashion Mavens
I AM NOT A FASHION MAVEN- Lets just get that out there at the beginning. I am 6'2" (Hence all of the "long leg" comments on my New Name blog)tall and wear a size 12 shoe thanks to my last pregnancy. (Beat you Jessica) Believe it or not, it is next to impossible to find clothes that are LONG ENOUGH to fit me. I know, I know... you say, well, SUPERMODELS are TALL! Yeah, well, they are a sample size 8 (I have never been smaller than a 12 or 14, and I think I was 12 or 14 at that time) not to mention I am now much older and have had three kids... You do the math, I am not a 12 or 14 anymore. . . ANYWAY, I try to look 'cute', but have a serious "Mommy" wardrobe. There is nothing I hate more than getting a jellied hand to the shirt when that shirt cost more than $30, so, I just don't get shirts over $30. I love it when I am wearing a perfectly cute sweatshirt from Target and I get a compliment on it . . knowing that I did not spend over $12 on it.
Honestly, I am ok with that. Not that I wouldn't want to lose a couple lbs. or that I would love to be a smaller more "easy to find size" but in actuality, it saves me a wholelottadough to not be a designer size. Therefore, I am never tempted to buy designer clothes. (not that I would be anyway-based on the above statement)
This would lead me to my latest dilemma. A juice filled purse. While I was at the Dr.'s office yesterday with my son who is going to get tubes in his hears, his sippy cup leaked all over my purse. This is not the first catastrophe this purse has endured and the spring/summer season is upon us, so I ventured to target today to find another one. I found a few!!!! The problem is I can't decide. So, I decided to ask my readers... which one do YOU like the best?
I know a few of you are very fashion conscious. (Wow, Stie, a product review?? And then of course Paige's fab girly dresses. I am sure there are more of you out there and if you can stomach a purse that is not over $30, you can vote!
I am seriously into this green color right now.
This is cuter in person, but I liked having lots of different colors. Too buzy?
Simple, and cute, but get too dirty? I don't know.

The New Name
I have been thinking for days about re-naming my blog. After all, it is pretty much all about me and my "issues". I think my husband doesn't want his name associated with it and I am ok with that. I think I was dreaming of a new name the other night, and when I woke up, I couldn't remember it anymore. (I am sure it was the bestest most fabulous name of all time)
I asked for some suggestions from my husband on what to name my blog, and here is what the "smart" man came up with . . .
The Life and Loves of Lindsey Long Legs
The Diary of a Mad Woman ~angry or crazy? You make the call.
What are you looking at?
Build a Bridge and Get Over It
What I have to put up with
Here is what I have come up with . . .
Rampant Ramblings. -- BLOGGING GOLD I TELL YA!
Anyway, I would like some help- some suggestions, a possible vote with what he gave me, HELP ME! If I choose your blog title. You will WIN A PRIZE! That is RIGHT! And for your info I am crafty, I love to bake, AND I make hand made Jewelry, so, you could WIN BIG!

ODE TO YELLOW
It has been a pretty tough week. Wade has been sick for an entire week now -- on Monday, was diagnosed with a double ear infection. SOOOOOOOOOO fun. This is his 7 or 8th ear infection, so soon, we will be getting him TUBES, and hopefully that will make me and him quite a bit happier.
Due to his illness, I have been pretty much bound to the house going a little stir crazy and baking WAY TOO MUCH! It is the only thing that I can do without moving about the house too much so that Wade can hold on to my pant let whilst I am doing it. So, you know, you have to make sacrifices! (Like baking cupcakes, M&M Cookies, and fresh bread)
Anywho, today, it is sunny. The sky is blue, and when I walked Jaxon to the bus stop for school I noticed something Yellow. . .
a Crocus . .coming up in my yard!!!
I took a few moments outside to enjoy the fruits of my labor and trim some bushes and snap a few pix of my cutie crocuses. Unfortunately, I had my little "helper" with me who was displacing fist fulls of bark, eating rocks, and then grabbed my camera and started crawling on the ground with it in his hand-- scraping in along the ground as he went. (thanks Wade)
That was a short visit to the out of doors. But NOT the end of enjoying YELLOW! Because of the arrival of SPRING I have taken the time to do some spring decorating and have changed out the flowers in my vases to include the beautiful Yellow Forsythia (my favorite spring bush). Now, I know that Nate Burkus DOES NOT CONDONE FAKE FLOWERS IN A HOME. But I don't have Oprah's budget, so here they are, and I think they look GREAT!
I mentioned a while back that I had painted my laundry room. Well, I painted it YELLOW . .
It makes me just as 'bout as happy as a laundry room can make me, and so do THESE . . . HELLO LOVER!!!
I inherited these from my mother-in-law because I begged and because they were sitting in a home that she is trying to sell and because my washing machine broke (how convenient). Of course, once I put them in my laundry room, I had to spruce up my laundry room so the washer and dryer had home as beautiful as they are.
SO, that is my ODE to YELLOW. . and here is my ODE TO UNFINISHED PROJECTS . . (more on that later)

Spring a dinga ding dong!
I don't care what anyone says. March 1st, is the beginning of Spring. At least it is in my head anyway. So, out comes the SPRING decor. I don't have a ton of Holiday Decor, but I always have DOOR DECOR. (Little known fact: I used to have a business called Lindsey's Door Decor, and I would sell floral arrangements that I made on-line. It didn't last long, my best clients were my neighbors!) Anyway, I should have done something along the lines of Stie's amazing cake decorating blog to demonstrate, but, I didn't think of sharing it until I was all done.
I will share that MICHAELS HAS ALL OF THEIR SPRING STEMS ON SALE FOR 40% OFF! So: if you want to make it, or something like it, here is the list of supplies.
1 Berry Birds Nest Spray: On sale for $1.79
1 Green Berry Garland (It is right next to the birds' nest) On Sale: $5.99
1 Green and White Hydrangea Bush Stem: On Sale: 5.99
1 Green Wired Ribbon (Choose the one you like) Not on Sale: 3.99
1 Grapevine Wreath
(I am not sure how much the grapevines are, but you can use your 40 % off Michaels Coupon, or did you know they will accept Joanne's 40% coupon?) Anyway, I just had one on hand, and ripped all of the old and faded decorations off of it, and used it.)
1: Get green craft wire, and fasten the garland to the wreath.
2: Take some wire snips to your hydrangea bush, and snip off the flowers leaving a 3 inch stem.
3: Jam them into the grapevine wreath. They will stay, you don't need wire.
4: Do the same to the Bird's nest spray.
5: Wrap your ribbon around the wreath, and tie a bow! (I tied two) and VOILA! You are done.

Enlightenment
So, my son Jaxon has a woobie. You know, a blankie that he loves and adores. It was made by my mother-in-law when he was born, and he has slept with it every night since. Of course, there are a few nights (like tonight) where it gets confiscated for mis-behavior, but for the most part, he sleeps with it every night. Anyway, a while ago, we noticed Jaxon was tearing off squares of his quilt (it is backed with a plaid flannel)
I didn't think much about it, and would scold him for tearing up his beloved blankie. . . until one day, a few weeks ago, I noticed a pattern.
I mean, an actual pattern! He was tearing off the squares in a pattern. . . oh wait . . . all of those squares just happened to be the exact same fabric! What could POSSIBLY be so BAD about that square of fabric???? I took a closer look, and realized that there was an offensive little creature on that piece of fabric. . take a closer look. Can you see it???
IT IS A BEE. Do you want to know why Jaxon thinks that is such an offensive creature???
By the way, now that all of the offending fabric is gone, there is no longer any tearing of the blankie... go figure.

Things I Never Thought I Would Hear Jaxon Say
. . ."Mom, can you do my hair? It is messy." That is just one of the things I never thought I would hear Jaxon say. I mean, do ANY boys ask to have their hair done? Believe me, it is next to impossible to know what is going on in that kids head, and then to hear he is concerned about his appearance is hilarious!
We went to our new ward today. Well, kind of. Wade has started walking pretty much full time now which makes church . . well, . . . pointless. There was another woman in the hall whose daughter was also busy, and crawling up and down the stairs. She said to me, "Oh, they look like they are about the same age!" I look at her small, tiny, petite little girl, and think . . .yeah, she could be about 11 months old . . maybe 10 months old. Wade looked like a complete giant next to her. I said, "Yeah, how old is she?" She said, "14 months." 14 months!!! She is on the fast track to nursery!!! I have 7 LOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG months with my walkingat11monthsoldson until nursery. Trust me, I will be counting down the days!
Wade is turning one soon. I am trying to be a 'good mom' and have his one year old picture snapped. Why does THIS always happen RIGHT BEFORE you get pictures taken! I guess those pictures will have to wait a bit. :)
